Sakura Sketch & Note Books contain 80 sheets of 140gsm, off-white cartridge paper for sketching, journaling and note-taking. The smooth surface is suitable for pen, pencil, charcoal and oil pastel, giving you a versatile place to collect drawings and written ideas.

The off-white paper offers a softer-toned alternative to bright white, while its smooth finish suits linework, sketching and handwritten notes. Use the book for quick observations, developing compositions or keeping a visual journal that combines words and drawings. The paper is acid-free and pH neutral.

A hardback cover protects the pages between sessions, and the stitched binding keeps your work together. An integrated pen holder keeps a drawing or writing tool close to hand, while an internal expandable pocket provides space for loose notes and reference material.

Choose from 9 × 14cm, 13 × 21cm and A4. The smaller formats are convenient for carrying with you, while A4 provides more space for larger drawings and detailed studies.

We recommend that this pad is perfect for most dry techniques and works especially well with pens & pencils and pastels. Because it is 140gsm (94.5lb) it is a lightweight paper and won’t take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will easily buckle. We would suggest any dry medium, however pastels and sketching materials will be the best with this product.
