Yupo Translucent Pads are made in the USA using synthetic paper which is machine made. The sketchbook contains 15 pages of 100% polypropylene which makes it completely waterproof, exceptionally strong and acid-free. These sheets have no internal or external sizing which makes them genuinely vegan friendly. Each page is 150gsm which can be used for many art techniques especially alcohol inks. The paper is extremely smooth in texture and white in colour. 

The Yupo Translucent pad is cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is paperback and has a cardboard back to provide a more sturdy sketchbook. The bind is glued, which provides a straight edge when taking a sheet out; and can also open-flat. It has a non-absorbent substrate that dramatically changes the way you paint and draw and is a great addition for any artist at any level. This pad is slim and great accessory for ink work.

We recommend that this sketchbook is perfect for most art techniques and works especially well with alcohol inks, pencils and watercolour. Because it is 150gsm it is a medium weight paper and will easily take on water. It has an extra smooth surface that is perfect for a combination of media, additionally you can also wipe off work if you make a mistake and it will go back to its original colour making it perfect for beginners. We would suggest you spray the surface with a matt clear varnish or finishing spray once you complete a piece so that the work will remain stable.
