Seawhite Alternate Black & White Sketchbooks are made and produced with thick, high quality paper. The pad contains 50 sheets of mixed colour paper. The sheets have a smooth finish to their surface as well as being 100% acid-free. This pad is unique as it contains both black & white pages, there are 25 sheets of each, with the white paper coming in at 160gsm and the black paper being 135gsm. The papers inside are designed to be used with a variety of media. The black paper is an excellent surface for mounting onto, as the wire-o bind allows the book to expand when things have been stuck in. 

Typically this surface will work best with sketching materials such as Pens, Pencils and Pastels, especially the white paper. Whereas the black paper is excellent when used with white media as the dark tone of the paper offers a clean and easy contrast to work with. Seawhite Alternate Black & White Sketchbooks are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. The cover is hardback, and is durable to protect the paper inside as well as to provide a hard backing to work on easily.  The pad is bound with a spiral bind. This pad is thick and both colour sheets have been sized for extra wet strength. Excellent value for money as you get a lot of sheets in one space. Available in a variety of sizes. 

We recommend that this pad is perfect for Mounting and Sketching primarily. As the paper inside the pad is varied between two weights depending on the colour. Materials such as pencils, charcoal pastels and pens work expertly on the smooth white surface. The bonus of having white and black pages means the artist can achieve a high degree of contrast when using the pages opposite each other.
