Hahnemühle Sketching & Detail Paper is ideal for sketching and detailing work as its name implies. Extremely popular with architecture students and architects. The paper is fairly light, only weighing 45gsm. This means the paper is extremely thin and has a translucent surface finish. The idea behind the thin paper is that different sheets can be overlaid on each other for ease of tracing and transferring ideas. 

This type of paper is ideal for most sketching materials such as pencils, pens and technical versions of them. Detail paper has a slightly whiter tone than that of tracing paper and as such can be used to add highlights easier. Additionally, as with all Hahnemühle Papers the Sketching Roll is 100% Vegan as no animal products were used in its manufacture. 

We recommend this paper for use with pens, pencils and other sketching materials. Technical pens and pencils will work superbly on this surface as its smooth translucent finish allows designs to be overlain and traced through multiple sheets. This paper is ideal for architects or architecture students and has been a popular choice for a long time.
