Aquafine Watercolour Pads are made and produced with high quality Watercolour paper. The pads contains 12 pages of watercolour paper that weighs 300gsm or 140lb. The papers inside are designed to be used with a variety of wet media, specifically watercolour, gouache and inks. The paper has a Not texture to its surface giving it a medium textured surface, also known as Cold Pressed. 

As the name implies the largest pad is longer than most sketchbooks or watercolour pads coming in at 9.5 x 27 inches (24 x 68 c.m), this gives it extraordinary potential for panoramic or landscape works. The smaller pad is extremely useful for taking on your travels at 8 x 16 inch (20 x 40 c.m)

The paper is acid-free and made from 100% virgin wood pulp, with a calcium carbonate buffer to prevent deterioration of colour over time. This calcium carbonate also helps preserve the integrity of the paper and allows for good erasing making it suitable for use with masking fluids safely. 

This is a fantastic pad for anyone interested in doing panoramic or wide landscape paintings, its width of 27 inches is far wider than most pads on the market and gives it a point of difference that is hard to ignore. Its paper is acid-free and buffered with calcium carbonate giving it greater strength for lifting and when using masking fluids.
