Daler Rowney Fine Grain Cartridge Pads contain 30 sheets of 160gsm, acid-free cartridge paper for graphite, charcoal and pen. The fine grain surface has a slight texture, offering an alternative to very smooth drawing paper for everyday sketches, observational studies and more developed drawings.

Use the pad to explore pencil shading, charcoal marks or pen linework, from quick composition ideas to portraits, still-life studies and landscapes. The subtle surface texture becomes part of your mark-making without the pronounced grain of a heavily textured paper.

With four sizes from A5 to A2, you can choose a format to suit your working scale.

The sheets are acid-free and pH neutral, and clean-cut edges give each page a neat outline. Each pad contains 30 individual sheets, providing space for a series of studies or a developing drawing project.

• 30 sheets per pad

We recommend that this paper is perfect for dry art techniques and works especially well with charcoal and graphite. It is a heavy weight paper and wouldn't take watercolour or any other similar wet technique too well and the paper may buckle. We would suggest any dry medium, however pastels, charcoal and other sketching materials will work best on this surface. Pens, brush pens and markers may also be suitable for use in this pad.
