Hahnemühle Ingres Pastel Pads contain 20 sheets of 100gsm paper in either white or a selection of nine different shades, making them ideal for pastels, pencils and other sketching materials. The paper has a textured finish, a neutral pH size and is genuinely acid-free, with no animal products used in its production, making it 100% vegan friendly. Each glued softcover pad is available in 24 × 31cm (9 × 12 inch) or 30 × 40cm (12 × 16 inch) formats, with a softcover that makes sheets easy to remove.

The coloured pads contain three sheets each of bright white and white, plus two sheets each of ivory, antique, corn, sand grey, brown, middle grey and grey.

Every sheet has two cut edges and two natural deckle edges, created during production, so minimal format variations may occur. Loved by professional and amateur artists alike, the pads are well suited to life drawing, portrait work, landscape studies.

We recommend that this paper is perfect for dry art techniques and works especially well with pastels and pencils. It is a very lightweight paper and will not take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper will break. That being said, it can be used with oil and soft pastels. We would suggest any dry medium, however pens, pencils, charcoal and other sketching materials will work best on this surface.
