Collection: Acrylic

Acrylic paper means it is generally a heavier paper and we would suggest using something that is over 300gsm, this will hold the paint well as acrylic needs to be on a sturdy surface. So long as you have chosen a high-quality paper you could just start painting without priming the surface, however, this will absorb some paint so putting a coat of acrylic gesso before painting will help with this. The texture of the paper isn’t too important and is really down to preference with rough paper being good for bold work and smooth paper being good for detailed. One thing that works in this paints favour is that you can paint on pretty much any surface, meaning you don’t need specific acrylic paper if you don’t want.
