From Calder Art Supplies to Perfect Paper Company
The Same Passion for Paper, with a New Name
If you've known us as Calder Art Supplies over the years, you may be wondering why you're now seeing the name Perfect Paper Company.
Perfect Paper Company is built on the experience, knowledge and passion we've developed through Calder Art Supplies.
In May 2026, we decided to close the Calder Art Supplies shop and continue the business as Perfect Paper Company, with a clear focus on the specialist materials we know best.
Why Perfect Paper Company?
Calder Art Supplies had been part of Huddersfield and the local creative community for over 40 years, building a loyal customer base and helping people find the materials they needed.
As the retail landscape changed, we chose to adapt the business and build a more sustainable model that better suited the way our customers shop and the direction we wanted to take.
Whether you're an artist, designer, printmaker or illustrator, we're here to offer a carefully selected range of art papers, sketchbooks, journals and alternative surfaces to suit different creatives' needs.
What does this mean for Calder Art Supplies customers?
The biggest change is that the Calder Art Supplies shop in Byram Arcade, Huddersfield, has closed.
The business has continued as Perfect Paper Company, with the same people and the same commitment to our customers, but with a new way of serving you.
You'll still find the same care and advice, just under a new name and in a different setting.
We're now based in Elland
Although the business has changed, our connection to the local area hasn't.
We're now based in Elland, West Yorkshire, where our warehouse is home to our stock, order packing and day-to-day operations.
If you need help choosing a material or have a question about a product, our team is still here to help. You can call us directly, email us or send us a message, we're always happy to help.
And yes, you can still pop in and see us.
You can visit us at the warehouse Monday to Friday, 9.00 am–5.30 pm, to browse our stock, compare different surfaces, get advice or purchase items directly off the shelf.
Thank you for being part of the journey
Calder Art Supplies was part of the creative community for many years, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us, whether you visited the shop, ordered from us online, called for advice or simply popped in for a chat.
We're proud of the connections we made through the shop and look forward to continuing them as we move forward.
The name may have changed, but our passion for great creative surfaces and materials remains the same.
