Khadi Papers Paperback Sketchbooks are made with Khadi handmade paper from their mill in India. The sketchpad contains 30 pages of 100% long fibre cotton rag, which is renowned for being high-quality, strong, durable and can last years without deterioration. These rag papers are the only handmade papers in India made with neutral pH size (internally) which makes them genuinely acid-free as well as lignin and sulphur free. Each page is 150gsm which can be used for watercolour and ink as the paper can absorb water really well as well as many dry art techniques. The paper is off-white in colour and comes in a medium texture.

The Khadi Paperback Sketchbook is deckle-edged on three sides which provides a beautiful and unique looking sketchbook. The cover is paperback and uses a similar sheet to the pad itself, that is slightly thicker. Additionally, between the cover and pad is a grey sheet which adds a professional quality and finish. Unlike the rest of the Khadi range, the bind is glued making the book more economical; it can also open-flat. This notebook is square and is a great accessory for sketching and mixed-media.

We recommend that this sketchbook is perfect for some mixed media and works especially well with pencil and fineliners. Because it is 90gsm it is a light weight that can easily be used for dry art techniques as well as wet techniques however, we would suggest using a light wash or a thicker paper.
