Hahnemühle Collection Watercolour Blocks contain 10 sheets and are designed to be used with watercolour paints primarily. These sheets have a neutral pH size which makes them genuinely acid-free. The paper has a varying finish. The paper comes as either Cold Pressed (Not), Hot Pressed or Rough in texture. And is available in two weights at 300gsm (140lb) or 640gsm (300lb). Produced on a Fourdrinier machine with natural felts.

Hahnemühle Collection Watercolour Blocks are cut-edge which provides a clean edge to the paper. A high quality, acid-free pad that is loved by professionals and amateur artists alike. The paper is designed to be used with watercolours, gouache and watercolour pencils, perfect for most wet working techniques. The Collection series of Watercolour pads set a new standard for Watercolour paper, the 100% cotton fibres are expertly durable and do not lift, rub off or loosen, even when using masking fluid and tapes and when applying multiple layers of colour. The selection of cotton used offers extremely strong fibres and incomparable purity. They are all also 100% Vegan.

The pad is available in 12”x 9” or 12”x 16” sizing and contains 10 individual sheets. The block is available in a glue bind, meaning the sheets can be used straight away without the need for stretching. Additionally the paper has been surface sized for resistance and optimum absorption, and is also 100% cotton giving it the best performance possible. 

We recommend that this paper is perfect for wet art techniques and works especially well with watercolours and gouache. It is a heavyweight paper and will take watercolour or any other similar wet technique well and the paper won’t buckle or break. That being said, it can also be used with oil and soft pastels. We would suggest any wet medium, however pens, pencils, charcoal and other sketching materials will work too on this surface.
